KAN Tulum Hotel
2021
Tulum, Q.R.
Rooted in nature and built with uncompromising intention, KAN redefined the hospitality landscape in Tulum. GRDN led the project from vision to execution, balancing bold architecture with deep environmental sensitivity.
Sam Gordon and the team designed every element with purpose. Raw concrete meets endemic wood. Open-air circulation eliminates the need for artificial cooling. Green façades climb toward the canopy. From the floating jungle bridge to the treetop yoga dome, each feature supports the core idea: create a hotel that breathes.
The result is an immersive sanctuary that slows time and reconnects guests with the elements. With just 24 rooms and a winding network of jungle paths, KAN invites stillness without sacrificing elegance.
KAN Tulum is the blueprint for conscious development in the Riviera Maya. It shows what’s possible when sustainability, craft, and profitability move in sync — and it proves that timeless design always outperforms trends.
